Joyce E. Hubbard Endowment in Cardiology Internship Opportunity
The Joyce Hubbard Endowment and internship program provides an excellent opportunity to provide financial support for the development of pediatric cardiology educational programs and internships at Riley Hospital. These internships are open to collegiate and graduate students who express interest in exploring cardiology as a possible career (research or clinical) and for medical students who wish to gain further knowledge to work in the field of pediatric cardiology.
Interns will learn and serve through first-hand participation at Riley Hospital for Children within the Heart Center clinical floor. The program is intended to provide knowledge, tools, skills and experiences that an intern will readily apply to future challenges and professional pursuits and to specifically garner interest and knowledge in the field of cardiology. These interns will have the opportunity to work on projects related to discovering and learning about safe and effective medical treatments for children, understanding devices or therapies, and/or examining how children grow, learn and develop. We welcome all applicants who demonstrate academic excellence and display a continued commitment to public service, but are specifically looking for applicants with an interest or skills in the areas of: medicine, biology, research, chemistry or science.
