When you give to Riley Children’s Foundation, you give hope to thousands of families seeking help for seriously ill and injured children; help that only Riley Hospital for Children can provide.

Many medical specialty areas at Riley Hospital are not self-sustaining. Without external financial support, the dedicated experts at Riley Hospital could not conduct groundbreaking pediatric research, deliver expert clinical care or sustain the cutting-edge facilities that our children need and deserve.

More than 60% of Riley patients are on Medicaid or uninsured, and more than 50 clinical programs and patient medical services are not covered by Medicaid or insurance. Generous donors ensure that Riley continues to provide the comprehensive services our children need. Riley Hospital promises to never turn a child away due to the family’s inability to pay.

Here is a small sample of what our donors helped make possible in 2011:

• 353,986 subspecialty outpatient visits
• The opening of the Simon Family Tower containing private patient rooms
• Riley neonatologists saw 17,000 babies
• 221 campers, including 51 new campers, attended Camp Riley for Youth with Physical Disabilities
• 36 stem cell transplants
