Cameron Martin's memorial Cam-Run 2.8 is a 2.8 mile run/walk. All ages are welcome along with strollers and pets. Ages 3 and under are free. Enjoy a fun-filled morning with live music, food, and prize drawings, but more importantly to raise money for a cause that is felt for a lifetime.
Race starts at 9:00 am with registration and packet pickup between 8:00 am to 8:30 am. There will be a prize to the first female and male finishers.
The purpose for this race is to raise money in support of Riley Hospital for Children's NICU bereavement fund. It is hard to imagine spending the rest of your life not holding and snuggling your sweet baby, but unfortunately some parents have the impossible task of doing so. The bereaved parents treasure every little memory they have of their child. The bereavement fund provides parents with these treasured memories in the way of keepsakes.
"We learned firsthand how sacrificial the Riley nurses are. They provide the financial means of the bereavement fund which include, hand and feet molds, bracelets, pictures, and other meaningful ways for parents to remember and honor their loved one. We would like to honor Cameron and the nurses by raising enough funds so they don't have to do this anymore and to make sure these services are provided for years to come. The impact Riley Hospital for Children and nurses had on our hearts will last a lifetime. We want to continue to give back to Riley and other families who will also feel their loving impact." - The Martin Family
