Riley Cancer Center Prom
Promingdale’s kicks off “Passport to Adventure” for 2014 Riley Cancer Center Prom (April 10-11)
Children with cancer at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health have been gifted a “Passport to Adventure” during the fifth annual Riley Cancer Center Prom on May 2. Thanks to Women for Riley, a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the missions of Riley Children’s Foundation and Riley Hospital for Children, the patients’ fun-filled journey to discover the world begins on April 10 and 11 at Promingdale’s sponsored by PwC, where they’ll pick their perfect ensemble.
Over 1,000 donated dresses, tuxedos, shoes, purses, jewelry and other accessories will line the shelves of the imaginative boutique known as Promingdale’s sponsored by PwC. The event will be bustling: Personalized shoppers will help 150 Riley Cancer Center patients and siblings choose their dream outfits for the special occasion. Patients will also vote for the Prom King and Queen among the Riley Cancer Center Staff.
Promingdale’s and Riley Cancer Center Prom were created for children with cancer within 12 months of treatment. The events have become highly anticipated for patients, siblings, parents and staff alike.
