Burn Unit Riley has the only pediatric burn unit in the state. Special tubs, like this one, are for wound hydrotherapy treatments. Children sit in the tub to have their burn wounds carefully cleaned, which helps their skin begin to heal. Brightly painted walls make the tub rooms more child-friendly. Likewise, since many of these kids are confined to Riley's Burn Unit for long periods of time, a large picture window overlooks the atrium and keeps patients connected to what's going on around them.
