Celebrities unite for Riley Giving Tuesday

After Thanksgiving, shoppers may be thinking about Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. This year, Riley Children’s Foundation is encouraging Hoosiers to remember Giving Tuesday—which takes place on Tuesday, November 29.

Indianapolis area residents have a unique opportunity to join Riley Children’s Foundation, Fifth Third Bank and Indiana Blood Center (IBC) at Capital Center in downtown Indianapolis for Giving Tuesday activities.

WHAT: Riley Giving Tuesday Event

Join Riley Children’s Foundation, Fifth Third Bank and Indiana Blood Center for Riley Giving Tuesday activities including:  LIVE Giving Tuesday remote radio broadcast by JMV of “1070 The Fan,” IBC blood drive and more.

  • 300 donations at RileyKids.org/GivingTuesday unlocks another $10,000 gift to Riley Hospital by Clear Channel Outdoor
  • All donations up to $150,000 will be matched by French Lick Resort
  • First 20 people each hour to give blood or donate money on-site will receive a prize or gift card (during JMV’s broadcast from 3-7 p.m.)

Riley Children’s Foundation launched The Gift of Hope Happens Here, the fourth annual year-end giving campaign, to support patients at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.

Andrew Luck serves as the Giving Ambassador for Riley Giving Tuesday, encouraging the community to give to Indiana’s only comprehensive children’s research hospital through a series of personalized e-blasts and social media messages. The Riley Giving Tuesday website will feature celebrity Q&A sessions throughout the day with John Andretti, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Graham Rahal, Matt Overton, Bob Kravitz, Blue, Boomer and other notable Hoosiers. The Gift of Hope Happens Here campaign, supported statewide by Fifth Third Bank and Indiana Blood Center, raises funds and provides hope to thousands of families seeking help for seriously ill and injured children—care that only Riley Hospital for Children can provide.
