The Indy Adventure Race is a 6-hour team event that combines road and mountain biking, canoeing, trail running/hiking, orienteering/navigation, rope work and surprise mystery events. Teams consist of three: coed, all male and female. All team members must start and finish together, covering the entire course together. The actual distances, course layout and order of events will not be disclosed until race day.<br><br>

If you like excitement, are bored with just running or riding, and/or you enjoy team dynamics and pushing yourself while having the absolute time of your life...then this is for you!<br><br>

If you've never participated, come watch one in action. A great way to see it up close and personal is to volunteer. We'd love to see you out there with us!<br><br>

The Miracle Jeans Day concept is simple. Individuals or groups can participate in Miracle Jeans Day by supporting Children's Miracle Network with a minimum donation of just $5. In return, participants can choose from memorable Miracle Jeans Day merchandise to wear with their jeans on September 15. All funds raised in Indiana go directly to Riley Hospital for Children.

Calvary Lutheran Church and School hosts a community day on Saturday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day includes the third annual Calvary Automobile Revival Show (CARS), a book sale and blood drive. Proceeds from the car show benefit Riley Hospital for Children. The show includes a display of cars, free safety inspections of passenger cars by Strohm Automotive, a silent auction of car-related items, concessions, music and tours of Calvary Lutheran Church and School. A special visit from the WFMS Friends & Neighbors van is planned. Prizes will be awarded for People’s Choice, Judges Choice and Riley Kids Choice at 2 p.m. The show is free to attend. There is a $12 entry fee to a show car. Please arrive and register your car from 8 to 10 a.m. The book sale will open at 9 a.m. with the following prices: $1 for hardbacks, 50 cents for paperbacks and 25 cents for children’s books. Proceeds from the book sale benefit the EPIC Center Library Fund and Calvary's Senior Ministry. Also, Nathan Loomis is organizing the Jodi Loomis Cancer Survivor Blood Drive as part of his Eagle Scout project. Walk-ins welcome but you can register online at www.donorpoint.org.
