Riley Champions
Carter Swathwood

Riley Champions Presented by Kroger is a program that launched in 2008 to honor Riley patients who have inspired communities with their bravery and commitment to help others. These Riley Champions have persevered through their own medical journeys and have translated their struggles into philanthropy. These young people become our most powerful advocates.

Riley Champions are selected from nominations submitted by Riley Hospital caregivers, Riley Children’s Foundation staff, school administrators and others inspired by their character.

2014 Class of Riley Champions:

Sneha Dave, 15, Greenwood
Owen George, 13, Newburgh
Diana Overman, 10, Fort Wayne
Paige Rawl, 19, Indianapolis
Dylan Shumaker, 16, Bremen
Carter Swathwood, 9, Lafayette
J.T. Wood, 17, Indianapolis

Nominate a 2015 Riley Champion:

Do you know someone who has received care at Riley Hospital who should be considered by the Riley Champions selection committee? Please nominate them and tell us why. Nominees should be between the ages of 8-18, as these Riley ambassadors will be asked to publicly share their stories.

To nominate someone, complete a nomination form. Selected Riley Champions are notified in September and are announced at the Riley Annual Luncheon.
