Keep Riley kids close to your heart this February

In February, Riley Children’s Foundation asks Hoosiers to join the My Heart Belongs to Riley movement benefiting patients at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. Heartfelt support allows Riley Children’s Foundation to offer hope to families seeking help for seriously ill and injured children; help that only Riley Hospital for Children can provide.

Generosity from Hoosiers will help give babies like Maddie Burke, from Bloomington, Ind., the best chance for survival.

Maddie was just 12 hours old when she was airlifted to Riley Hospital. Her lungs had filled with fluid, and without specialty pulmonary care that only Riley could provide she wouldn’t survive.

Today, Maddie is a healthy two-year-old with a wide grin that lights up a room. Her family showed their gratitude by making a generous gift to Riley in Maddie’s honor. “It’s only fair that we give something back,” said her mother Rachel. “Because of Riley she is here. Forever.”

Every gift makes an impact
Without external financial support, the dedicated medical team at Riley Hospital could not deliver expert and compassionate care and breakthrough pediatric research. Generous donors, including corporate partners like My Heart Belongs to Riley heartfelt sponsor GEICO, allow Riley Hospital to provide cutting-edge facilities and cover the costs of medical specialty areas that are not self-sustaining. Families from all 92 Indiana counties turn to Riley Hospital for hope and healing 300,000 times each year.
