PUDM Celebrates Record $1.1 Million for Riley
Nearly 2,500 Purdue students who participated in the 12th Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM) are celebrating a record $1,101,297.26 donation to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. PUDM is one of the nation’s fastest growing and largest Dance Marathon events, according to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
The 18-hour Riley Dance Marathon event, held November 14-15 at the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center, concluded at 12 p.m. yesterday. The motto of PUDM this year was “celebrate with us.” A majority of funds benefit pediatric cancer research at Riley Hospital, and $100,000 is dedicated to Child Life.
Through 12 events, PUDM has raised approximately $4.5 million in support of Indiana’s only comprehensive and nationally ranked children’s research hospital. Riley Hospital requires significant donations to sustain and expand groundbreaking, life-saving treatment and research, facilities and accessibility.
