"Many of my favorite childhood memories have to do with Riley"
I was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) in 2008 as a kindergartener. Even though I couldn't do normal kid things many of my favorite childhood memories have to do with Riley Hospital for Children. The annual cancer picnic, pole day, cancer prom, dance marathons, camp little red door, change the play, and of course, being a Riley Champion and all that entailed. Riley Hospital did more than just treat my cancer, we made so many life long memories and friends along the way. My little sister is also a Riley kid, she even had some of the same doctors and nurses that I did, so even after my treatment ended my family spent even more time at Riley Hospital for her. In 2014 we moved back to California where I was born. I just graduated from Freedom High School, Class of 2020. I enjoyed band & lettered in choir. I am taking a break from furthering my education. I may not be sure what my future holds just yet but thanks to the doctors and staff at Riley Hospital for Children at least I have a future!
