This Gift of Hope banner is currently on display at the Indiana Blood Center building in Indianapolis.

As we near the end of 2015, we would like to share this message from one of our generous corporate partners, Indiana Blood Center. Learn why they are teaming up with us this holiday season and asking the public to join them in giving the gift of life:

Q: Why has your organization chosen to support Riley through The Gift of Hope Happens Here campaign?
A: Riley patients have been the recipients of our donors’ generosity, as Indiana Blood Center is the exclusive provider of the highly specialized blood components to Riley Hospital for Children. Partnering with such a well-respected organization is another point of pride for our donors and for Indiana Blood Center.

Q: Can you provide a synopsis of the specific activities at your business that are supporting this campaign?
A: At select mobile blood drives we are offering blood drive participants an exclusive Riley holiday ornament designed by the very talented Grayson Connor, a 5-year-old Riley kid. Dr. Charlie Miraglia, our president and CEO, participated in the Celebrity Q&A session on Riley Giving Tuesday which was such a fun day. Additionally, we have a large campaign banner hanging at our headquarters and one of our 14 bloodmobiles is wrapped in the Riley brand to highlight our partnership.

Q: What is your message to your clients and other supporters in the community about The Gift of Hope Happens Here?
A: We ask our blood donors to join us in this partnership to support the Riley mission and all its patients in one of two ways; giving the gift of hope by raising your sleeve or raising funds. By donating blood or money, you are giving the gift of life to so Riley patients.

Q: What would be your “dream result” for Riley Hospital from these efforts?
A: That the gift of hope turns into a gift of life. For all boys and girls, young and old, to experience the joy of life.
