Riley Society is a group of committed community and business leaders who serve sick and injured kids by making an annual gift of $1,000 or more to Riley Children’s Foundation. Meet the new President of the Riley Society Advisory Committee, Brian Moldt.

How long have you been involved in the Riley Society?
Since about 2004. I do not have a personal connection to Riley Hospital, but recognize all of the great work they do.

What is the most exciting thing that is happening at Riley Hospital today?
It’s hard to not point out the Simon Family Tower. I know that’s been there for a few years now, but it’s a fabulous addition. And Riley is helping kids around the state, making connections between local doctors and the ones in Indianapolis easier.

There are a lot of worth non-profit organizations. Why do you support Riley?
Because it’s Riley. That’s sounds trite, but look at what they do. Riley touches so many people. Riley is the ‘go-to’ place when other doctors at other facilities are scratching their heads.

What are your plans for Riley Society?
I want to brand Riley Society so it becomes a place people want to volunteer at and work to raise money for.  Get our story out there more.

Anything you’d like to add?
If you’re a Riley Society member, come down and take a tour of the hospital. Personally see what is being done. It’s very hard to explain in a brochure; you really need to take the time out of your life and see it in person, and feel it. One visit will motivate anyone to support Riley Society.
