Owen was born seven years ago with spina bifida, hydrocephalus and cleft lip and palate. Jenifer and her husband Eric were told he would never walk, never be normal, and have no quality of life. The Fort Wayne family decided Owen’s best option for care was Riley Hospital for Children.
Today, Owen is celebrating milestones: riding a bike, running to the school bus and even playing soccer. As Jenifer says, “I thank God every day for the miracle that is my son, and for Riley Hospital.”
The family shared their story of perseverance at the 2013 Northeast Indiana Riley Luncheon.
